Bully Dog Exhaust

Postby ktekst » Sat Jul 10, 2010 9:26 am

Has anyone on here ran the Bully Dog 4" turbo back exhaust system?

Ive found it on ebay for 424.95 with free shipping.

Or is there a better 4" kit for less money out there?

Thanks in advance

I have a stans kit on the 89 but the price is heavy. Which ever kit you buy make sure it has a 4 inch downpipe. Some systems say 4 inch but only come with a 3 inch downpipe. Here is a recent thread on dtr about 4 inch exhaust.

I only know of a couple of them installed so far, they just recently added them to their product line. I only personally know One of the guys that has bought one, he owns a muffler shop and installed it on a customers truck. He allowed it was a great kit.

I remember the day I installed my 4" straight pipe system, you'll love the sound. :D

I bet I'll love it too

I can't wait for it to get here. I have a full days work ahead of me once it does and my front springs arrive. I plan on installing the exhaust, shocks front and rear, new front springs, elimating the abs do hickey on the frame, and painting the back half of the frame with some chassis saver paint.

Not to mention taking the swinging hitch off that the original owner had installed for pulling his bumper pull camper.

I got my Diamond Eye kit the other day the quilty is good but D.E. was thinking that one kit would fit 4x4 and 2wd trucks. As I have a 2wd truck it wout fit . I talked to Mike at D.E. and was told that thay would take care of it and let me know what thay would do. on there web site they say 2wd kit coming soon. If you look at the DTR sitehttp://www.dieseltruckresource.com/ ... 73767.html someone has a wright up on putting the D.E. kit on his 4x4 truck Ken

My diamond eye box just showed up today. I have not done any more then pop it open and have a looksy. My first thought is it looks like a nice kit. If it fits as good as my stans kit thats on the 89 I will be very happy. Its half price compared to the stans kit.

hey kensmachine,
I'm also in need( and by 'need', I mean I think I should have one ) of a 4" 2WD exhaust. Almost bought the DE 'til I saw it was for W-series 4x4's. Could you write up the DE solution to your 2WD fit issue please? I see the Bully Dog one does not say anything about 2 or 4WD fitment. What to do?
cheers,
Douglas
