Fuel syste........A 1000 or Kennys pulling parts?

Postby GLHS » Sun Aug 22, 2010 7:25 pm

Was ready to order an Aeromotive A1000 and filters today from Jegs then remembered Kennys Pulling Parts has a custom front cover with a hole to adjust the cam timing and an optional front mounted fuel pump.

Anyone have any experience with this setup? If it is streetable and if I have enough room for it up front, I think it would be good to have a mechanical pump that would pump more fuel as the rpms climb.

Or, should I just send Brian a PM?

I don't know about a gear driven pump on our motors but a 60 series detroit sports them and I think cats do as well.

or just put a high pressure piston pump in it and regulate it... they will handle the power a ve or 12mm p-pump can make.

I am so close to having a chain-driven ISX 300 PSI fuel pump mounted onto a scrap air conditioner... I just need a couple days home for a change.

But I got $2000 worth of intake and exhaust crap to put on too. I don't know what has priority. Probably the exhaust since thats bigger boxes taking up a lot more space.
