coolertubz ordered what next

Postby ellis93 » Tue Oct 26, 2010 7:08 pm

Take a look at my sig - the hx35 and add a WH1C w/14cm housing. So I've got Mr Tims tubes on order and got to thinkin of something else to add to my wish list. I've got to keep this truck for pulling and working so I want to ask you all what I can do. I had thought about that M2 pin but I don't know. Also thought about a 35/40 hybrid turbo from dieselauto power. Think they call it dodgezilla or something (not the china made one). Give some input. Thanks in advance.

Clutch then rebuild getrag while it's out. Then injectors since it's a 93.

The trans is fine. The clutch is however questionable. Its not slippin yet but in time who knows. As far as injectors I have plus40s new in the box. Small upgrade but they'll help.

Just ordered a M&H M2 fuel pin. I'm gonna install them one at a time and see what they do.

 got the m+h M2 fuel pin today. Any recommendations upon installing it. Grease it or maybe star wheel/smoke screw adjustments.

Make sure you have your smoke screw all the way out ( up ). Just go from there. I had to put my smoke screw back in a little because my ( no boost ) fuel was so little it would stall easy. I put it in some and cured that. I also screwed the starwheel up ( tighter spring settings ). I wanted to hold the afc back as long as I could. When that pin does drop down to full fuel it you sure can feel it.

Thanks for ur input Mr RichieO. What did the pin do to ur milage. Did it hurt it bad. I know that foot weight counts dramatically.

Like anything, if you are easy its ok, if not, it chews the fuel. The pin let me take a full turn out of the fuel screw to stay at the same boost. I had 45 psi with the stock cone, put in the mh and the boost went up like 5 psi or so. It is too much so I took a full turn out and got back to my 45.

Cool. Only thing I've done to my pump is turnin the pin and lowering the star wheel 2 turns. I've not turned the fuel screw yet. I fear the excess gas temps while pulling a load.
If u try to pull with it how does it do for u.

id at least start saving for a clutch. my stock one did great until i started putting timing to the engine then all hell broke loose and i could slip it at will. had to call south bend and get a clutch in within a week. i could still beat those old camaros with the stock one slipping. :alien:

my mileage didnt get hurt to badly from the pin or spacer, if I drive nice and stay about 60mph I get about 20mpg if I drive at 70+ and use alot of pedal I will get about 17mpg. Just FYI my fuel screw is bottomed out and my star wheel was down about 4 turns and I towed with mine just watch your egt's and you will be fine

From what I've read in the past I've gathered the clutch thing. That bothers me alittle but I have a sachs ceramic button clutch now. Its 4 or 5 years old now but still works well. Guess I'll see what happens.
I have the cooler tubes comin so I might put them on first seein how I pull almost every weekend and need the temps stayin reasonable. Truck as is pullin the 2030jd (60hp) and eight foot disc I stay around 9 to 950 on the flat and about 1100 topping a hill, a little more if I push it.
MrRich I've a feelin u don't pull a lot with it then

The 89 and 93 are toys only. They are spoiled. The 92 is the tow pig. Just got a triaxle gooseneck. 92 is stock except for the NV4500 and high idle screw removed. Still has the tamper cap on the pump as well as the turd 21 cm turbo.
