7x.014s should i jump a tooth?

Postby IowaCummins » Wed Nov 17, 2010 2:41 am

alright guys i have been running these injectors for a little while and love them, but was wondering if i should bump the timing some? as of now gears are in stock location but pump is to the head. runs good but kinda will haze going down the road at any speed usually clears up wtih 16-18 psi of boost then after that is black smoke due to large injectors with not enough air, dont have a problem with that just that haze before hand. if i flip my KSB switch it clears up the haze but not all of it and just runs cleaner and more power. should i jump a tooth and put the pump at stock timing mark and see how it runs then adjust from there?

i would for sure. i like the 1 tooth skip more than i thought i would plus you can adjust 1/4" or more both ways on the pump if you need more/less from the stock mark. Also it makes things 5x's easier to work on when it comes to getting into the pump (compared to being to the head).
