he351/ht60

Postby 913 Cummins 89 » Thu Dec 09, 2010 8:03 am

the HT60 is a 73.5 comp. 88 turbine and a 23 exhaust i was wondering if this would be a goos setup with some 8x11 im in the process of buying. i want to eventually get bigger sticks as i will be going to a 14mm ve in the end. will this twin setup support that kinda power or do i need to get a better big turbo. i have a second gen intercooler and the he651 on my truck already
Thanks,

I think 5x18's or 6x16's would be a better match of injectors.

Now if it was a HX50 or 55, then yeah.

Of course, I am gonna try a H2E (63/73/17).... As a single...

I think it will work great LOL ;)

Honestly i almost bought a ht60 like 6 months ago to do a set of twins with but i found out it wasnt a real holset so i told them to keep it.

I wouldn't waste money on 8 hole sticks. Might as well buy PODs, they'd probably make more power. :/

Yeah they might be mine.

Why wouldnt you waste your money on 8 hole injectors? Early common rails come with 8 hole injectors. Think they should go to PODs too?

Injectors with 4,5,or 6 holes have already been proven to work better with the VE pump. Not sayin 8 holers don't work, they just have never made as much power as the others. Yet. And when you have 25 000 psi of fuel pressure to play with, like a common rail, 8 holers probably work great.

The ones hes getting run pretty well honestly. You can see what i made with them on Scheids dyno that was running about 19% lower on HP than Dunbars. That was with a boost leak (lost 6psi at peak), less timing than i have now and a really sloppy AFC setup. I think i could have made 375 on dunbars pretty easily if that 19% number was a constant for every truck.
