Body trim parts-where to find?

Postby jbplaster » Sat Dec 04, 2010 2:08 pm

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum, and new to the 1st gen Dodge. I've got an '84 Ford 250 diesel that's about to be retired and a '93 W250 5sp on a flatbed truck on its way to me from Utah, should be here Tuesday or Wednesday (see the photos). Trouble is, it was stripped bare for repainting. I've found the badges/nameplates, with help from this site, here:
https://www.dodgetruckparts.net/oem-dodge-parts.html
but at $63 / piece, that's pretty spendy. I'm interested in the rubber fender trim and side molding and also the D O D G E decals for the tailgate, but would like to find some more economical alternatives. I would like to keep this truck 90% stock, maybe with a few hidden engine upgrades. If anyone is parting out a '93, I would be interested in these parts, or if you could point me in the right direction of a supplier, that would be a help also.

I've got the front fender trim, door trim and cab trim, and the two front wheel well flares I'd let go on the cheap.

Delinquent found me the front half of the trim, now all I need is the molding on the pickup box - fenders, side molding, etc. Any other offers, ideas where I might find this? Also, I'd love to find a drop-in bedliner to fit this truck. The bed's in really nice shape right now and I don't want to wreck it.

Thanks in advance.

If it were me, I'd get a sprayed in liner. Those plastic liners have the tendency to trap water and dirt, then they'll rub off your paint. Just my experience.

PJ3,

I sure appreciate the offer, but I'm in North Carolina! It would be a great road trip, maybe in summertime.

Still hunting the rear fender molding and pickup box molding, as well as some new DODGE RAM decals for the tailgate and a valve cover plate (where is says Dodge Ram, Cummins Turbo Diesel, Intercooled). There's gotta be a source for some of this stuff. My other truck's an '81 VW Rabbit pickup and I can get any part I need (maybe cause they're all falling apart).

Thanks guys,

Jesse

You should be recieving the trim anyday now. Please let me know when you get it, as I lost the reciept, but If a problem arises, I'm sure the UPS storekeeps track.

Delinquent,

Just got the package yesterday, and I'm very pleased. All was in good shape and professionally packaged. Couldn't have expected better from the supply house! Still looking for those rear bits & pieces if you run across anything...

Thanks again,
Jesse
