Man am I lucky! Mine never tried to run up when I had the screw in more. When I turned it in, as soon as it got a little fluttery, I stopped. Now it smokes so bad, I don't think I need any more!

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Heard that brother! Driving a steady 72mph takes careful concentration! Once I get to abotu 68, it wants to go 85 all by itself. really sucks with no cruise!

What do you mean by that?

You mean that we need to thread them in farther to the point that we can only see the back edge of the screw?

No, so you're not running around with your engine near runaway. No wonder everyone's shutoff solenoid/plunger's are going out lol.

I had mine up there for a little while, but it's really spooky with a stick when you let off the gas and push in the clutch and the RPM doesn't fall.

After a road trip in my 89 I've found it does this exactly. I can cruise at 2k rpm ~65-70mph without the twitchy governor.

Brian; This mod will still retain the same peak hp as a ground afc lever?

Yes it will retain the same fueling because it allows the same amount of travel, but still has AFC control. 8)
