i'd be up for one depending on price.

as a side question, the 2nd gen pump will work, as long as it has the pressure regulated, or a nifty spring installed to drop pressure?

Yes.

How is it going to reduce the pressure?

The spring pressure and piston diameter are the 2 factors for psi output.

Is anything else required to physically install the pump?
Oregon fuel injection has the low pressure lift pump for under $65 (3936320), these parts could be used to convert a 2nd gen LP to low pressure correct? So if the price of this spring is less than that it would be a great buy right, I'd assume quite a bit less but I don't know ANYTHING about spring manufacturing.

Again, I'm a novice at this stuff but I think a 10 to 12 spi spring would be nice too assuming that 15 is the max advisable for the ve a little breathing room would make me feel good. It would still flow more than any other low pressure LP id assume??

If you can buy the 6320 pump for $65 grab it! They are discontinued now and the replacement is about $300. If you have that you don't need the 2nd gen pump, spring, or any of that stuff. All you need is the spacer, gaskets, and outlet line, which you need anyways with the 2nd gen pump.

I've not called them to see if the pump is available for $65 still but I think I also remember reading that this one does not put out as much psi's as the one that is now $300.

My thoughts are starting to turn into a little bit of a hijack, sorry, but to get back on topic if the price is reasonable I think a Low Pressure spring for the 2nd gen pump would be awesome!!

I need to find someone in the Portland, Oregon area with a 1st gen as mine is going to be down for a few months during the conversion. I want to get one spring made and see what the pressure is and tweak it as needed. Any volunteers?

It's the same pump. It's just from a different vendor and they've jacked the price a lot. There are a lot of guys running the 6320 pump, and I've supplied quite a few of them. They carry 15 psi most of the time, with my 370's I can draw it down to about 11psi, which is plenty for the VE to function well.
I'm just saying that there's a lot of screwing around with springs and the 2nd gen pump is more money that that to start with. ;)
