Thought so. Was not really sure about that. I only knew that my 93 has the place for it and never compaired it with the 727 or 518 equiped trucks. It just LOOKED the same.

Well, since I have no ladies chasing me down, I get very intimate with Cummins trucks instead. :lol:
I'd probably get put in jail if I tried to take apart the former, so I stick with the latter. :shock:

I actually did a VE engine swap into a '96 5 speed 1 ton 2wd a couple years ago.
I kept track of what I had to do at that time, which I did because that was the only engine I had available at the time.

Not a lot of people want to put a 1st Gen engine into a 2nd gen, so the information on doing it is hard to come by.

I am glad I could shed some light on your dilemma.
