front leaf springs

Postby 1stgencummins92 » Tue Mar 01, 2011 3:18 pm

i have a 92 w250 with a dana 44 king pin front end and I'm in the market for new front leaf springs. My driver side seems to be sagging quite a bit. Any input on where to look? I have had no luck so far.

sure its a 44?? should be a 60. check your local spring shops, up in canada im looking about 250 a corner for springs, or you could order a skyjacker kit from 2" and up. they'll come with front springs and blocks, unless you want to spend more for a system and get rear springs as well. rockymountainsuspension seems to have good prices on the skyjacker kits

The skyjacker kit is probably going to be your cheapest bet. I have the 2" kit in my truck. If you want some prices on them shoot me the part number and I can get you a good deal.

I'm almost postive it is a 44 but the more research I do people say they never came with 44s. And really I don't need rear springs just hangers lol

Yeah comming from someone that just got the skyjacker four inch springs stay away from them I am noticing sag already. It has been just over a month. I am running bigger tires. No extra weight havent hauled anything. I am not getting a set of alcan springs made up as soon as I get some green backs. Hope this helps.

you might also PM Ace, he had a skyjacker lift and I believe it did not sag.

if you want to play it cheep, looak around for some other style trucks that you could steal leafs out of, just make sure they are the same width. my heap has huge schoolbus leafs up front and there isnt a hint of sag. Its a free modification, just drop the ubolts unbolt the center bolt on the spring pack and start adding leafs of your choice
