Postby manyholes » Fri Jul 08, 2011 6:58 pm

anyone had this issue? 4 ways wont work unless i put my turn signal on either way and key on. fuses good, lights good, everything under the dash looks good, had this issue before my overcharging incident. thanks

How about the 4 way flasher module? Is it new? If not, try replacing it.

If this is the same truck that had the wild overcharging problem, what are the odds it blew out the 4-way's fusible link? It may not have power, but when you hit the hazard switch it back-feeds voltage through it and makes all 4 work.

same truck taco, had this issue before the 18+volts pumped thru it
which fuseable link is for the 4 ways under the hood?

Just start tugging at the insulation, you'll find the bad one(s), if there are any.
The Hazard flasher is located on the fuse box, along with the turn signal flasher.

The last thing would be a bad multifunction switch, where the turn signals, hazards, wipers, washer and junk are.
