mileage drop - sudden

I got 300k on my 1993 cummins club cab 2wd.
The only real "repair" to the engine I've ever needed was a rebuild of my injector pump...which was done about 2 years back professionally...set me back 2k..ouch!

I've never touched the injectors either..so they are old.

My question is )and I suspect injectors) fuel mieage went down drastically in the last few days....from like 19 to 10 mpg.

If you were me...where would you start? No noticeable change in power...or unusual behavior....just sucking diesel!

ouch thats a big drop! mine does that when its cold outside, but does it smoke anymore or anything?

Pull the dipstick and make sure it's not in the base? Either that or an external leak. It dropped awful suddenly to be injectors, but I wouldn't rule them out.

A few thoughts, did you loose power , auto trans with a slipping converter, locked up clutch fan, restricted air cleaner or intake system, boost leaks. Notice any more smoke than usual, white or black, just some thoughts.
