Well I have a exhaust leak to fix. Its been there for a little while. When it is cold it leaks pretty good out of the small turbo on my hot pipe. Warmed up she only leaks a little but I am starting to lose some boost from my big turbo and my egt's are running a little hotter than normal. I guess after two years of beatings its time to take the hot pipe flange of and true things up and install some kind of gasket. Its been metal to metal all this time.

My leak is at the 6 bolt flange in this photo.

My big turbo was making 26-28PSI its now down to 18-22PSI. Some of this could be outside temps as it is 30 degrees warmer outside during the day but its just to much to ignore now.

I will post a few pictures of some of the work in the following days.

1/4 mile dropped from my 13.55 to 13.76 with the leak getting pretty bad. I installed the hood last week also and it really helps things cool down under the hood on the longer drives.

Both scoops have a 5" hole under them and have done a great job at moving air through the engine bay and out under the truck. I do plan on having the right one feed the air filter at some point.

A small shot of nitrous is in the works very soon as well as a bed mounted trans cooler...

So you think this would cause the old girl to run a little hot..... I thought for sure it was the 6 bolt flange... I cant wait to fix this and go for a ride.

Notice in picture #1 there appears to be no blown out gasket..

But then look at this ..... Good thing I know a guy that can make one better..

Just so you have a better understanding... Dont think my hot pipe was doing very much..

Well it explains why my big turbo was down 10psi at WOT... I know its been leaking for over 3 months. I also know at its worst I still made 405HP  . drove to Portland raced all weekend and drove home and did some more 360's when I got home.

Not much check out this video of a dyno run 1-1/2 months ago.. Looking back at the videos I think I should have looked into it sooner. The big turbo puts no stress on the flange. When I took it apart
I took the 4" v band off first and nothing moved it was still lined up perfect. The design on the flange is messed up. When they machined the flange they left very sharp corners not radius where the
flange broke. I am going to increase the wall thickness and have a small radius put in all corners.

When i watched that the first time i kinda thought that was alot of smoke for a small
exaust leak, but then i thought i don't have twins either, so i probly don't know what i'm
talkin bout.
