Yet another injector topic! More fuel than PODs

Postby Tsbourne09 » Sun Sep 04, 2011 1:49 am

I currently have pods(which i think are awsome), my pump is absolutly maxed and i have a raptor 150 on the way. What are all my options as far as larger injectors. I want more power more fuel and the ability to blackout any road i want. Any ideas or comments? Thanks!

I guess I'm not the only one that thought that was stupid reason. This is what is giving our hobby a bad name as is.

Don't aim for smoke, build the power, and with a first gen, smoke will come. Guys get upset with people just wanting smoke to blow in the publics face. I get lots of looks with mine because its a hazey pig, but I try not to block out the sun when people are around. I will blast friends on the road when others are not around. All 3 of mine smoke , but that was not what I was after.

I would trade 15/16ths of my smoke for good clean power.

Exactly, it's great to get rid of tailgaters, but when you're trying to get a heavy trailer rolling, it just wastes fuel and makes heat. Look at it this way, now you need a bigger turbo ;)

Oh gee, let me be one to take time out of my day to help you then.

Richie is right, if you have power, smoke will just show up.

Read the entire post before complaining. More fuel and power were in there.

Well, then it's been said here multiple times:

190s will net you better mileage and slightly more power

5x14s will net you more power and probably equal mileage to stock non-IC'd injectors

6x16s+ will get you to whatever power goal you're shooting for in terms of VE capabilities, and will probably net you worse mileage than the others in the end.

Check out the injector size thread to see what sizes are in between and where exactly you hope to land in terms of power.

whAt? noobs.

Hey, don't get pissy when you say this:

This site is the 1st to help you. Go over to compD and ask the same question. I would give you 6 hours before you're crying and asking to be banned.

Taco, he said something but the boards cuss word thingy changed it. I am sure it rhymed with witch.

I have stock injectors with a tuned pump, DennyT 2 pin, and 18cm housing. I hate the smoke.

Why do you think PODs are great and do you even have an upgraded turbo?

I've had plenty of practice with the filter here, his word rhymed with pucks. [edit] as did mine. [/edit]

WhAt? covers almost all the variations of "puck".

Go ahead and throw some 6x.016s in it with your stock h1c POS. Smoke out everyone you see. Drive it like you stole it. We'll have a thread in a week about your melted pistons.

Oh, by the way...Cummins Forum called and said they missed you.

I feel we'd be seeing a thread about his exploded turbo first. ;)

In terms of smoke, which I'm also not a fan of, my stock non/IC'd injectors would puke it out pretty good until the S300 got spooled. Your PODs should be able to smoke more than enough for someone who isn't just wanting to be obnoxious. Do you have a lack of smoke(power) problem with your PODs, or is it just personal?

I should note that those injector stats were just guestimations from what I've read on here, and my comparisons of them to factory IC'd injectors. I'm not sure how they'd compare to PODs in the end. I figure the 190s would be actually drop HP a bit, but you'd have more usable HP when it comes to towing.
