Postby manyholes » Mon Sep 05, 2011 2:43 pm

I saw on the web a few years ago where a guy put a Ford ext. Cab seat out of a mid 90's in the back of his and it looked good. Not sure how much room he had though.

when i make it to the wreckers when im home ill take some measurements. was just trying to see if it was done and i would know ahead of time what bench to pull, its just to fit the kids so it doesnt have to be too roomy, thats what my 90 crewcab project is for

I went to a wrecking yard last friday, I was scouting out rear seats for the same reason. I found that the rear seats from a 97 on up furd f150 measure in nicely. They are two separate pieces, but if you are crafty with a mig welder and some 1/8" steel, you could make the appropriate brackets. The seat part (where your hind end goes) is about 16" deep and the width is 60". Forgot the height of the back. But I do remember, it's not too tall to fit unfder the recessed portion under the rear window. The mounting feet would have to be cut down a few inches as it's quite tall, and ford has the back section attached to the back of the cab. One could make the hooks/loops/whatever you call them, to attach the back to the back of the cab, or build brackets and attach it to the seat or the floor...
