Cant seem to find any info on the .020 on here. Any one try them? Thinking of trying a set and a new turbo. Any thoughts?

Used to be my DD, just got promoted to project truck. Supposed to be getting my buddies 95 when he upgrades so i'll be taking the NV4500, Dana 80, seats and possibly frame for mine. Have another project in mind for the Ppump.

3rd gen cooler and rad waiting to go in but want to upgrade turbo(s) at same time. Was looking at the SDX .018 or .20, when this ip goes i'm thinking 14mm. would only like to buy the torbo(s) and injectors once and then build the rest to suit.

Also is 450-500hp a resonable number with the 14mm? Will be putting a new clutch in with the 4500 install.

My thought is that they are probably too big for most setups.

30% more orifice area than 6 x 16's.

Wow thats weired. I was just looking at the sdx page and saw them amd came here for info and saw this lol. These are huge right! The 5x.018 are prob better injectors for a dd and they are still bigger than 6x.016 right?

I would think 6x16 injectors combined with a 14mm head would be plenty of fuel, probably excess to run your common twins.

Don't go bigger than 5x18 if you want it streetable. I gotta drive mine really easy around town to not leave a black cloud. Not a problem if you're not in a hurry. Anything bigger than 6x18 and you'll probably lose power, the testing has been done already. And all of it is in "the good stuff" somewhere..

The truck hardly sees town and when it does i'm in no hurry. I read somwhere that KTA was making 480rwh with the 12mm and a single and that spool was near stock.
This would be the upper end of the power range i'm looking for right now. It seems the 5x.018's are more suited to that level and would still leave some fueling room should i get more air and a 14mm later?

Anyone deal with these guys?
Considering s300-62 ETT with .83 A/R
with http://www.steedspeed.com/cummins_straight_turbo_flange
I could get it with the external waste gate for more options for future twins

This with 5x .018 and from reading i dont think the lowLP will keep up. Hate to put electric pump on my all mechanical truck. thinking of electric fans when i put in the 3rg gen cooler and rad too :(

I plan to use forced inductions myself. I have friends that deal with them and have great things to say. I don't think your gonna get that 3rd gen cooler in without hacking it up and rewelding it to fit.

Read a few posts that claim its a bit of work but it will fit. Bit of work on the support and notch the top of the frame rails. its not much wider just twice as deep. because i want to put the rad in as well and both are thicker than stock im thinking the electric fans will help alot with clearance. Be nice in the winter for warmup as well not having a fan going. plus its said to take 15-25 HP to turn the stock one. Can you tell im trying to talk myself into putting somthing electric on my truck?

Aw come on, it has electric stuff already. An electric fan is a good idea.

I guess i can still limp out of the bush with no fans. I'll just have to run a valve setup so if my electric fuel pump dies i can switch back to the mechanical.... I'm not sure im joking or not

So i think i found 2 guys mentioning they had 6x18s and were happy with them? these are only very slightly smaller than the 5x .020, so now i'm am again debating between the .018 or .020

As long as i can get around slowly without leaving clouds at every intersection when i'm in town i'd like to get the biggest possible to aviod upgrading the sticks

Its not as easy as being easy on it. Big injectors haze all the time. Some are better then others. Anything bigger then 6x16's on a single turbo truck is overkill. Thats my opinion.

Mike 8061, you should look into a HP piston pump with a pressure regulator if you want to stay mechanical. Should keep up with a 12 mm IP, and if it doesn't you could tee in a holley black with a check valve to the outlet of the piston pump. That way you'd always have a mechanical fuel supply. Richie, you must have more than 301 hp with the 62/71/14? Isn't that number with the gds h1c?
