MO POWER

Postby 04Fummins » Tue Sep 27, 2011 10:38 pm

Ok guys (and gals), ive come to a cross roads with my Fummins conversion. I've been driving it for about 2 years now, played with the pump a bit, have an intake and 5" exhaust. I'm goin back in to fix a few things so I figured I might as well see what I can do to get it close to the 300 hp range. I've already picked up an he351cw, new manifold, and some gauges. What injectors and fuel pin would be best suited for play and daily driving?

I like my LBD 5x14's and M&H fuel pin, with out pulling something, I can run the crap out of it and not worry about egt's. have to use your in town-manners though because it will black out the road, if i want to. :(

Injectors, LBD or SDX they are cheaper price and work good.

fuel pin, M&H or Denny-t would be my choice, I believe the Denny-t is like the M&H-5 all five of the m&h pins are the same at WOT, the only difference is WHEN they max fuel.

Assuming you've got an intercooler of some sort, just a set of 5x14s and a 62mm S300 should give you a nice, safe cushion for 300hp.

Can you hit 300 on a stock turbo? Maybe, but it'll probably be toasty and I wouldn't expect it to be worth much with a trailer.

Leaning strongly towards some POD's and a new fuel pin at the moment. I think that with some pump timing and my new he351 w/ 5" exhaust should make some decent power.

There are allot better injectors for the money then pods. Check out New Era or SDX just to name a couple.

04fummins what trany did you use, if it is the dodge 727, or the a518 you should upgrade the torque converter, (don't know
what ford has) just thinking, if it is a manual it won't take much to get to 300hp.

Stock fuel pin ground on the deep side is the best for the money. Then you turn it around to the shallow side for economy.

The ZF6???? How do you like it?

I have been seriously contemplating putting one in my truck in the future... What adapter plate did you use?

Fordcummins.com adapter. Word to the wise, go with a destroked adapter. Much better quality, the only reason I used the fordcummins was because it came with the trans. Ordered a bunch of 3" SS intercooler piping last night to plumb in my he351cw. Can't wait
