turbine housing Identification?

Postby Fnschlaud4620 » Tue Oct 16, 2007 12:01 pm

Does anyone know where to find out what turbine housing I have on my HT60? I have heard there is a 26cm3, a 22cm3 and some others. I would like to know what I have, I thought it was a 28cm3 but now I don't know for sure.

Is there a book that I can look up the part number?

Thanks

The size is cast in the throat, and oftentimes is indicated beside the casting number too.

I found a 22cm3 housing for sale for the ht60. I would like to know if I change the turbine housings will it have an affect on the location of the turbo on the x,y,or z axis in space next to my engine? I will not buy it if I have to redo all of my work on the hot and cold pipes.

I don't think that it does, but I can not guarantee that fact either.

Thanks for the reply, I called the seller and he said that he knows for a fact that it will not change the position. The 22cm3 housing I need is going to cost me 250.00 for the complete turbo that needs rebuilt from this guy. Should I wait or just buy it? How scarce are these 22cm3 housings for HT60's?

Not very scarce. I have had my hands on several complete turbos in the bone yard with that housing that I could have had for $150 as a complete unit. All the N14 435hp and down I believe use the 22divided hsg.
