Extrude Honing Help

Postby mhuppertz » Mon Oct 24, 2011 12:55 pm

I have email a bunch of injector houses and can't get any response.
I just need my 5x.012" hones to 5x.015" and I can't find a place.
Any ideas?

Extrude hone in PA should do it. That is of course unless they say that is to much of a hole size increase. Some times spray patterns can get pretty crazy when you wear out that much steel.

I'll give them a try. DDP said they send their extrude honing out and won't work on used tips anyway because they work harden. I told them I could anneal them in my kiln but they werent impressed.... just trying to save some by having my spares opened up rather than forking over big bucks (that I don't have) for new tips.
