Which injectors with marine style pistons?

Postby mike8061 » Fri Nov 04, 2011 9:30 am

Since im beduilding my rotating assemble as the start of my build I was wondering, if i put in marine style pisions would i then be better to use 2nd gen nozzels? which has the better angle for the marine pistions?

Would there be a benifit to switching to this style of pistion. Im thinking maily of the readily avaible nozzles for 2nd gens. If i remember right they will fit in first gen injectors just the spray angle is diferent?

The marine pistons use the wider 155deg spray angle.

Can you not use the 145* tips? I thought this was a common thing so that the timing could be advanced past 26* without leaving the bowl.

Correct. High HP build with lots of timing like the industrial/marine/Non-IC'd pistons to help keep the spray in the bowl.

OP, 2nd Gens have the same angle as 1st Gen IC engines. The only difference is the injector bodies. Nozzles interchange.
