My DDP injectors did the same for my truck, it jumped from 17 to 21. I think its just higher then stock pop pressure is one of the reasons for less smoke and better mpg.

Pop pressures shouldnt account for a 40+ hp jump on a stock truck though? I emailed him with some questions on the specifics, we'll see what he has to say.

from the man himself

Hi. In regards to the Cummins performance injectors, the injectors that I build use a Bosch sacless 5 x .012" nozzle valve assembly with a 155 degree spray angle. You can contact us at Red Oak Diesel Clinic at 712-623-2221, Monday-Friday 8-5 Central time. Thanks, Stan.- thedieseldude

I remember the same, guy had a few of them stick on him but they made the injectors right IIRC
155 spray angle shut this down for me.

If I'm thinking right then the 155 spray angle is for marine engines. There fore those injectors may spray outside the pistons bowls that are designed for 145 angle injectors. I'm not into the smoke and egt problems that will come from that. If I take this same money and 200$ more I can have the right spray angle and a custom built injector with a warranty that I can use face to face with the builder 8)

In the bowl or out altogether, you don't want it half n half. The non ic'd piston is 155*.

If 155* scares you then why are people even running those junk ass POD's? 160* cone angle....CUZ DER CHEEP??
