Alrighty, fuel system planning now sorted and cam messaged about, hoping to get one reserved when they get back in stock.

Now then, looking into headstuds. I've been mulling this over for a while, and I think I'm going to go with the A1 studs. I plan on bottom tapping my threads anyways, so it only makes sense that I can use them.

So, any of the members/vendors here carry them and wanna sell a set? I've found them at PDP, and I know Haisley sells them, though I can't find the complete set listed just individual bolts.

It's getting close to hibernation time for the truck again, maybe this time it'll wake up before next October.

Vann Haisley sells the complete A1 set for the 12v (unless they've changed). :)

Nope, I found it first try this time.

I usually go through the Dodge/engine category. This time I went through A1, it was the 3rd one that popped up.

I'll chill and see if there's anyone on here that sells them.

Alright, I got a video finally to have as a comparison for before and after the cam.

Nothing special, since I'm planning on dropping the tank so it was almost out of fuel. One take only. 8)

Open rear, I know. I shifted into 3rd around 55, so that may give you an idea on what I'm working with. Youtube'd for less hassle. 8)

Yup, doing some filming on 554. I had to run around the block to warm it up first. There's no use in launching any harder, it'll just smoke that one tire off even worse and look gay going it.

We actually passed you twice, we were in that Mustang too. He did a couple of donuts at RV while I had my otterbox off.

I've got an extremely questionable front u-joint. I'm saving it for an emergency situation.

Yeah, we went by and I saw the rig. I'll probably stop over tuesday if you're free. Once my parts come in I'll be busy working on my own junk piles all week. :(

doing the 188? Im gona guess that your going to see a ton more difference than my rig, but I still love it.

what are your fuel system plans? I did some work on my fuel system this week. routed the inlet line straigh into the IP and eliminated the filter on the head. works great, much less restriction on the inlet line 8)

Yeah, I'm on the 188 waiting list. If I'm going to do it I'm not going to do it halfway. 8)

Fuel plans are 1/2" draw lines with a fuel/water before the LP and a secondary after it somewhere, bypassing the stock filter. I'll keep the factory intank setup, but I'm gonna mod it for the biggest line I can get in there. I'm trying to get a used HPLP, so if that pans out I'll have a regulator in there too.

I just used a 2nd gen vp44 style filter assembly and bypassed my stock filter, post filter pressure went up 3 lbs. they can be had pretty cheep, plus the cartrige style filter is a nice touch.

I may have a spare 2nd gen p-pump lift pump available in a few days, i'll let you know if Im going to sell it

I would ditch the regulator If I were you, It takes nothing to pull the pump and locktight the seal.

I've already got 2 filter heads off some old Detroits. I'll grab a pic of them tonight, though they're not that special to look at.

Do you really trust the loctite'd seal to hold an unregulated HPLP? I'd much rather not deal with the regulator, but I don't want any accidents either...
