you mean to put presure on the lip of the seal? If so... then no, IMO there would be so little room it would kind of be pointless. my retainer allready has a step in it thats about 20 thousands tall, I installed the seal right before I put the retainer on, so I could feel it squishing down on the seal and pressing it into the bore a bit more, I'm hoping that when the locktight dried it did so in a manner that is keeping a bit of pressure on the face of the seal.
Either way, the way that the seal is designed, the fuel inlet pressure pushes on the back side of the sealing face, essentially putting more force on the sealing surface as pressure goes up (in conjunction with the seal spring)
what i'm trying to say is that I dont think it will blow the lip out, just probably get to the point where it seap's by the seal.... at which point some kind of double seal would be needed
