354 spring, should i trim it?

Postby fatstack » Mon Feb 13, 2012 4:47 pm

I know I may b beating a dead horse w this thread but I would like to know if I should trim exactly two coils off of the 354 spring before I install it? I only want to go to 3200 rpm and am only installing it for the added throttle response. Thanks

take a pair of calipers, pull the stock spring, measure the inside eye to eye.

take the 354 spring, and bend just the end loops, you will need to trim them so that they can hook on, but its easier than trimming and bending a new end
