Well....

as much as I'd like to take credit for the added fueling, I can't. John Russin of Buddha Power is setting me up with a new VE. He still has some things to do to it, the 289cc's at 3300rpm was what he had it up to last week. Hopefully he gets it over 300cc before I get it. I did all the normal pump mods on my old one, and it ran really well....
But since I had to spend money on a new pump anyways, I wanted to have one setup for max fuel on the bench by someone who actually knows his stuff.

Man, talk about a zombie thread, I've built a set of twins in the amount of time you've had your truck parked.

Somebody double-tap this thing the next time it goes down. :P

So how does it run with the new pump? Oh and I suspect that is 330cc's and it fuels to 4400rpm, but not 330cc AT 4400rpm. If it is your 12mm beats my 14mm 80cc at that point!!!

Hey Remps, I'll probably run a skipped tooth and then some.

KTA, I just got the pump Tuesday, and work is kind of crazy right now so it's going to be a little bit before I put it on. As for the cc's, I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure from what John said and the fuel chart he gave me that it does make 330 until 4400. The new delivery valves he made added 40 cc's. Even if it peaks before 4400, it's probably way more fuel than I need with my setup anyways.

Well Brian, you were right...
I looked my invoice over a little better and it said 330cc to 1500rpm and 295cc to 2400 rpm, set to 4400 rpm. I'm not sure what all was in between those.

So have you had a chance to get the new pump on it yet?

Not yet.
I've got a bunch of things to do to it, but not a lot of time right now. I'm waiting on a few other little things and a day off. It should be running right in time for bad weather so it can sit in the driveway some more. :yuck:

Well, I got the new pump on, jumped the timing a tooth plus a degreed key, and checked the kdp. It was MIA, so its either been pulled out completely by the previous owner or its in the bottom of my oil pan. No damage at all, but makes you think. :yuck: So far nothing else. It's just been sitting in the driveway with no liftpump for a while. I've been piddling with some interior work and wiring, valet switch, pressure switch for the ksb, etc. as well, but she's not back on the road yet. I work at a coal fired power plant and we've been finishing up a scrubber project this fall/winter and the overtime has been kind of crazy. It should slow down in a month or so and I plan on getting after it again. I'm considering going to dual wheels and an aluminum flatbed, but Levi says it won't be a sleeper anymore. What could look slower than a 2wd dually with a flatbed?

I wouldn't go flatbed myself. I think it would look good as a dually though.
