Going back to 5

Postby skilletky » Tue Mar 06, 2012 11:18 am

I want to go back to a 5 hole injector. What size would be close to a 7x.015?

On paper (going by cross sectional area), I came up with this:
Your 7x15s=.001237
5x17s=.001134
5x18s=.001272

But I have no idea how each performs in an engine. I have seen or heard of alot of people using 5x18s

That is the info I was looking for. Thank you very much ! I tried to use the equation in the injector sticky but my brain is just not working today.

Just trying something different. I have heard that a 5 hole runs better in a 12 valve from several different people and places. Gonna compare the 2. Now the question is where to buy them from

I've been wanting to go to a 5 hole injector for a long time myself. But, I am too lazy. Would love to try SDX 5 x 16's.

I'm trying to decide between scheid, sdx, cpp. But I can't make up my mind.

Lot of choices these days, too bad they can't have a price war.

I like Scheid because I watched them treat a guy that just laid down $4k for an ATS trans from them in the same way as me who bought a $70 dollar lift pump. I have always gotten food (edit: I mean good) service from them. And they have an office in my town 8)

I think they have a special going: Buy any 6 injectors and a pizza, and get a 2L of Coke and an order of breadsticks free :lol:
