the local junkyard in my area has some old buses with cummins and i was wondering if those motors are different in any way like if the mileage would be different or power
92 w350 srw flatbed
1985 D350 crew cab diesel conversion in progress
79 w200 power wagon
93 D350 drw 5spd getrag 4 door donor
90 D350 auto(fried) flatbed
93 D250 auto

different govenor springs but most of them were still just VE's, are they in like F700's?

A different governor spring?
They are a non-stationary engine with an AFC, so the pumps are still designed for on-road use.
Other than POSSIBLY having a different' linkage arm, they will perform and function the same as the pumps on the 1st gen Dodges.

I'd doubt they have a differnt gov spring. I looked at BobS's post in the Parts Numbers seaction and the lowest listed is the 2800 spring that is stock in our trucks. I doubt they would put a hot rod spring in a bus :lol:

Another thing is they may have the wide aftercooled lines that open up alot of intake possibilities. I think Tacoclaw used them on his truck

Who said anything about a hot rod spring?

If 2800 rpm is the lowest offered and our trucks came with that, then by default any other spring would have to be higher. I may have misunderstood what you said

I'm betting they don't even have different governor springs.
An injection pump number, or engine CPL number, would take care of any of the supposition on this. :roll:
