Always heard they're a total waste of money. But I've never tried them so...

Yep, same here. From what I've read from the guys that have done it, they've said it was a waste of money on a VE truck. I haven't personally done it so I can't say for sure.

Our VE's don't move enough fuel volume for the stock/OEM lines to present as a restriction worth noting.

Further, the larger line ID combined with the fluid's compressibility (albeit both subtle), contribute to an altered injection event timing.

I dunno... There was a guy a couple years back that did a 13.3 at 99 on fuel only with a set of .084 lines.

Just thinking out loud here, but would it make a difference if you had a 14mm head? I know it would be pointless on a stock VE.
RIP 91.5 W250 5 speed. The great experiment.

To me the real question is how big of an injector tip and what else needs done to the injector before it will flow enough that the line would be a restriction?
But that is just me

That's not really enough info to back up the claim of saying the larger lines made a difference. Did the IP have modified DV's, did the injectors still have edge filters in them? There are a lot of variables here.

I know a couple guys that had them on stock and 14mm ve trucks and no one was happy after buying them.
