Guess its possible but still hard to believe considering how much power a 14mm can make.

Any thoughts on the cam plate I was talking about?

See, guys, it's all been discussed here at one time or another.

Sometimes you just gotta set aside a couple hours, start on the very first page of The Good Stuff, and start reading. That's what I did when I first got here.

Well, after a couple of noobie threads...

The problem is that still didn't address my question to y I found a 3.2 cam in a stock pump.

Do you know for a fact that the pump has never been apart? Maybe some pumps had different camplates, my only point is per the testing I've seen the 2.8 gave the most cc's at the lowest rpm.

Do you have any numbers off of the pump? Anything particular you may have noticed that was odd about it externally, like a weird linkage or fuel line routing?

We didn't answer your question because we don't know the answer. If there is an amswer here, it's probably buried back in the early pages of the forum. Hence my suggestion to start there and go forward.

Somewhat related to the topic: Was there higher performance stock VEs out there like the 913 P7100s? That could explain the different cam plates and such

Also, were any of these (3.2 or 4.0) cam plates stock in anything?

Obvoiusly there were, or they wouldn't have made them. Bosch is a firm believer in "stock is best!".

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

I don't know for certain it was never apart as I didn't own it it's whole life but it didn't appear to have been apart before me. Heck it didn't look like it was even ever off the engine. All I know is that pump made some power by the time I got done with it.

What type of engines were they used in? Did they come from VW? I read somewhere (I think I followed a link in this thread) that Rocken Tech made them as well. I gotta feeeva and the only cure is more info

cam plates are so much more than just lift... duration and rate are why the 2.8 makes more power

Caleb, why would a VW need a 6 lobe cam plate?

You are lucky though, I had a buddy pick up my last gasket kit, and the shop told him, (they knew it was for me) that they wouldn't be able to sell me parts soon because Bosch was clamping down on it. Didn't make sense to me, as parts is parts as far as who's installing them. Money is money.
