They all came lose! A 3/4 breaker bar and a pipe did wonders! The sad part is I have to give them back so I might have to go and find my own.

Well I spoke to soon :( 2 lugs are seized on the studs and the studs are spinning. Now to wait until Friday and go after them with a cutting wheel. So far I have only mangled one with a chisel and it still will not split!

Any recommendations for replacement studs? And hopefully they will still fit the hole correctly and actually lock in there.

If you're feeling frisky it may be easier to pull the axle, take off the spindle nuts and hub, then grind off the backside of the wheel stud and drive them through that way. That's typically the way we do it on our big trucks, and it saves you from potentially mangling your wheels.

That maybe what happens, looks like I might have to find out what size the spindle nut is. Oh well. Will have to take it all apart to fix it anyway.

The spindle nut i just pull the lock clips and usually can get it loose with a small flat nose punch. Thats how ive always done them anyway.

The ones on my truck have been taken off many times with just a cold chisel. They don't look real pretty afterwards, but they still work so who's counting?

A drift would leave much less damage, and the correct socket would be even better, but nobody's gonna think you're cool if they walk up and see you using them. ;)

I can't remember wich ones, I usually scab both from work for the evening/weekend and use them. Being a cheap ass and having a cool boss works out, he lets a few of us borrow shop tools to use at home occasionaly, or just work in the shop after hours. Being a quality employee has its perks
