Turbo lights early

Postby cummins32 » Thu Nov 29, 2012 9:10 pm

I installed some diesel auto power 5x12's and I really like em, but my turbo lights at about 9 pounds, if I get on it the truck starts screamin at 9 pounds of boost, It's a little too early for me, I was thinkin an hx40, my friend has one that I can get for pretty cheap, but it needs a new compressor wheel, so I was thinkin a batmowheel ?

How dare it.

Seriously though, what is the problem here? If it's too hard to drive easy then try tightening your starwheel up. If that's not enough try your stock fuel pin again.

And to clarify, by tightening your starwheel I technically mean to loosen it up, thus increasing tension on your AFC spring.

What he means is turn it up towards the top. ;)

I have a friend with a powerjoke, (i know, i know, he's more of an aquiantence actually ;) ) He read that a Batmowheel actually makes less power, somebody did a comparison test. I'm not sure if that was compared to a stock wheel or a performance wheel the same size, I'm not up on all that ferd crap.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Borgwarner was testing them because people were not buying replacement Borgwarner parts because all the hype of the batmowheel bs.

From what I saw there the Batmo gives a little fatter bottom end to the charger but really gives up capability up top. Honestly besides the price I don't see a downside to that in a street truck, but it's definitely not worth the $$ for the little extra air it gives you.
