See the last time this truck ran like this was when I pumped it full of crap fuel, and somehow the pump gear nut loosened. The key was boogered but from the view I got from my bore scope the gears keyway looked fine. Now..fast forward 1yr...I have this schit to deal with. I'll probably pull the front cover and take a look.

I haven't found a damn thing wrong :x

Least nothing horridly wrong,so far the IP gear was fine (key wasn't chewed) ,and the headgasket was still just leaking on the outside. This truck is torn all to pieces and I've yet to find the problem.......it has to be complicated,it's mine after all :x

Have you checked which injectors are messing up on the 7 holers?

Eric idk......it could be but I'm gonna wait till the bitter end on changing it I reckon. I received a brand new old stock pump gear in the mail today so it's going on,then my head set should be here in the am along with the timing gasket and side cover gasket. I'm fixing everything else and saving the pump for last......I really wish I had somewhere close to test the pump but there isn't the first place that I feel won't screw me clos by. That is a sad fact all by itself, nothing but conartist and ripoffs around here.

I have this other thing I'm thinking on......I'm thinking of shimming my old valve springs to increase their tension to hold back my boost, rather than find some 60lbs'ers. Reckon there's anything bad or good to be realized from that

I think you need to quit screwing around and pull the damn pump off and get it fixed! You're as bad as my buddy, he'll tear a whole truck apart trying to find a wiring problem and it's only a bad tail light!

I would but I loaned my buddy $500 for his neck surgery. Doctor wouldn't operate with out a down payment and his insurance check comes tomorrow. The surgery is tomorrow too. ;)

Tear into it yourself, It can't be that hard, Ike took his apart 3 times at SOP. Of course, it still didn't run right and he put on a different one to drive home, but that could be installer error. ;)

Hey Like finally got his running good though. Mine would do the same sthi Ellis. It would pop and smoke on startup. Once it ran a little it cleared up. I bumped the pump timing and that went away.

Hey.....I went through my pump and it ran afterwards.... so it can't be hard...........took me like 14 hours though, mainly because I was looking for a spring for about 6 of them that our pumps don't have, but hey..... it still runs.

That's just it Andy,I've got what would equal to a 3/16ths bump on it now,huh well not now. What I'm hoping for is to time it all out with the tools I've bought and try it,if it don't work out,I've another pump setting here. We will all know then ;)

I was just playing Mr Pete huh I mean Uncle Pete
