that depends on how it is tuned and some other variables

what ex housing are you using?

is it waste gated?

14 is a great housing for that thing

but you need to modify it so the pressure is relieved on both sides

Ok guys, i found a WH1e, wastegated. does this require a 4" DP? Im thinking this turbo would be good, as of yesterday i ground my AFC foot and installed a 3200 spring, and am now deffidently in need of a turbo.
thanks.

ok guys, would this be a good hx40? the guy is local and i could go pick it up soon.

here is what he told me about it:

its the standard flange, what is that, the t3 i believe. as for the compressor wheel, i'll give you the model #. it came off an 8.3 l cummins motor. holset kit#3802256rx assy #3530994 ser# m872395. if i am interpereting the thing right. looks like a 56 wheel with what was a 22 t4 housing which i took off and switched over to a 18 t3 housing. the thing has no play and is in very good shape. i know they go for about 600 new, so 250 is good for me.

An hx40 is a 60mm wheel, so its not as good.

Ok, well he told me the turbo is an hx40? so this would have the 60mm wheel? I googled the #s, and it looks like its an h1e Also, how will the 18cm housing be? i like my 14, but i dont like it at all on the highways, so i figure the 18 will be an improvement on the highway.
thanks.

The h1e was the predecessor to the hx40, the 56mm wheel is most likely correct, and still to small to be worth the upgrade.

Ok thanks guys. I have another question. I scored a 2nd gen Piston lift pump for 30 bucks. When i install it, i want to run bigger rubber lines. I have heard of the glacier diesel big line kit from the fuel filter to the pump, but what can i run from the piston pump to the fuel filter?
thanks.

Instead of rubber, use plastic. The air lines on big trucks is fuel resistant stuff. If I upgrade, that's what I'm going to use.

you cant put a 2nd gen lift pump on a ve with out a regulator

it has a 40 psi spring in it and that will blow the frt seal on the ve
slowass 2nd gen - ADRL pro mod bike #798 - 4.26 @ 175 mph (1/8m) - how quick do you wanna go?
