C bar c is a ton better than Gordyville. Surprised me that they had room for 300+ pulls. Just wished they had more classes. Maybe next year.

It is a Chrysler product with an automatic.... there is going to be problems.

They drove decent, overall a nice rig. But I too heard that certain years had tranny issues.

Responsiveness is WAY down from just off idle pretty much all the way through. When it was cold there was a ton of timing rattle from off idle to the 30% throttle I got up to (that I don't get with my stuff). Once warmed up the rattle is gone, but it's still very unresponsive. Smoke output is also MUCH higher. Spoolup of the 80 feels more delayed, and it's just all around poorer performing than my stuff. If I were to guess I'd say I lost 15-20 horsepower. More in the mid range for sure

On another note it's an absolutely gorgeous day here +15*c, no wind, sunny. True t shirt weather

I've never been to Gordyville. Being the first year, I doubt they wanted to invite a ton of classes. I'd like to see more, but a lot of people have their stuff down for upgrades. Sounds familiar? I like the super farm tractors (and the local hot/altered farm tractors ) almost as much as the prostock and super stock tractors.

As long as it runs on diesel I'd be happy. Don't much care for them things with spark plugs

What's a spark plug? Oh yeah, that thing with a wire on it in my lawn mower and chain saw. Almost forgot it's been so long since I had one out.

Ya the two wheel drives suck! Way to noisy for indoor. I love the variety at Gordyville. Anything from farm stock to pro and light pro. Most of the big guys are up and ready for the farm show. That's what has put us behind, people spending more money than us.

A month ago, someone put a whole tank full of gas in our Bobcat skid steer at work, and no one came forward as to who done it, couple grand later, running good. Fast forward to yesterday at work. Need the skid steer, won't run again, no gas in it this time. Being a former mechanic, several people asked me what was wrong with it. One guy asked if the spark plugs were fouled up...I laughed a little and he didn't get why I was laughing. I had to explain to him that diesel engines don't use spark plugs. Long story short, I had to use the internet to show him pictures of different diesel engines to prove to him that there is a lack of spark plugs, as he could not believe me, thought I was joking. He couldn't comprehend how diesel ignites without a "spark".

Fun times

Those gassers have too much exhaust energy too  I hate the smell too

The best pull to go to in my opinion is the Elkhart county fair here in Indiana. They have two tracks side by side. They pull farm stock from 8-6 on one track and every PPL class I've heard of on the other. After farm stock, they have some local hot and altered farm until dark. Farm stock starts with Johnny A's and after about 30 6030s they have some modern 300+ hp tractors hook. Pro stock semis pull around midnight.

TS a couple years ago did 3 tracks. Non-stop pulling. It was fun to watch a 3.0 truck run down a 2.6 truck

I'm going to have to get out to a sled pull one of these days. It's harder when anything and everything is basically minimum 3 hour drive

Ever since I pulled, watching trucks has gotten more and more boring. I have to be out there!
