I was going to get Isspro's, but I really liked the way these look! Anyone else running Phantom II's?

2 guage pods are common. I haven't seen any 3's in my travels on the web.

The pod is a generic one made by Auto Meter, so it doesn't fit the contour of the A-pillar molding (doesn't fit mine atleast). So it was either have a big gap there, drill another whole and put a screw, or silicone it. If I just left it I doubt those little plastic clips would have held it for very long and I didn't really want to put a screw right in the center of the pillar, so I used clear silicone. The camera flash makes it look worse than it actually does.

On another note my Pyrometer has stopped working properly. Auto Meter told me to ship it to them so they could fix it and send it back. I was not too happy to say the least... The reason I bought an Auto Meter gauge is because they are supposed to be top of the line, not work for 1 day then crap out. I explained what it was doing to the tech on the phone and he said it was more than likely a faulty gauge, not a problem with the install or the Thermocouplar.

So $20 shipping later I have no pyro for probably 2 weeks

Uh... I don't really want to answer this question

If you guys made fun of the silicone on the pod... your really gonna give me sthi about this.

Follow the hood latch release. The grommet that the cable goes through is very thin. Mine had a gash in it, so previously I had run a wire through it when I wired my A/C compressor to a relay instead of the temperature sensor on the expansion valve. I made that gash much larger and ran all my lines (including the thermocuplar) through there

I really don't recommend this, for the record. It really does look pretty awful if you look under the dash.

Before you guys tell me how ghetto I am, trust me... I know ;)

Aww thats ok I don't judge :D I'm thinking about drilling a hole in the fire wall so I can run everything through that central hole. With the right side grommet it should look pretty factory.

BTW I tried running it through there and I did slice min and yeah not the best idea

What's wrong with slicing a grommet opening a little bigger to push wires through? All of mine have had that done.

Anyway, Autometer may be top of the line in some fields, but diesel pyrometers have gained them a bad reputation. I wont buy any, for sure. I have had ISSPRO in about 4 trucks, and Danin (formerly DiProcol) came in my 92 W350. They dont look bad, but the white background looks out of place in a 1stGen.
