New Cross flow head

I'm working on a solid model for an new, cross flow head for the Cummins, and I need the exact head bolt spacing and cylinder bore centers and spacing for the 5.9. Any of you out there have blueprint specs????

I thought it was crossflow?the intake manifold is on the other side of the exhause manifold.

The valves are in line with the head. I want to put the valves perpendicular with the head and use high ratio rocker arms.

You might want to think some more on how that is all going to work. High ratio rockers is going to be pretty tough when your intake is right next to your pushrod. If you did it conventionally your rocker would have to be very small with a very small piviot shaft. The stock ones flex a bit already with good springs, making it smaller and higher loaded from extra ratio wouldn't be a good idea I don't think. If you want to build a head make it a 3 valve with 2 decent sized intakes and 1 big exhaust. Then center the nozzle and use 24v style pistons. 8)

That is an interesting idea... I like it. Similar to what Ford did to their modular cylinder heads. But what would be the advantage of the 3 valve design vs. a 4 valve head? Isn't that one pretty efficient? Especially being turbocharged.

More valves give you more flow at less lift with less shrouding. The downsides are weaker head, more friction, more parts. I need to study a four valve head. I really like the three valve idea though for a turbocharged engine. Pretty sure I could build a high port, retro fit head...

I don't know, have you seen the rat trap on top of a 24 valver? I can't do any worse than that!
