as far as I know jumping a tooth is only for guys that are after max power. On a daily driven truck, especially one that gets worked I wouldn't jump a tooth, but that's just me.

if you jump a tooth you can retard the pump below stock mark and get close to your current timing for work then adavnce the pump past the stock mark and have lots of advance for fun. your pump should be to the head now so a tooth jumped and retarded should put you close to the same.

For 400hp, I'd leave it on the tooth it is.

Pump shaft should be at 12 o'clock to keep the key from falling.

I think the problem is your weight. If you hot rod a truck that is heavy as hell its gonna bust. Lots of timming and heavy engine load is not real cool. I have blown a few gassers due to lots O timing and hauling heavy.

There is a running take-out for sale in the classifieds for $750- Chicago area. 300K, but this time you have a better idea of what to do and not to do.

Well I got a motor in the machine shop for the truck that's why I wasn't too worried bout playin and I did it,so weight and timing is bad so I think a set of 435s and 1/8 bump on the stock tooth on the pump I should be good for hopefully 400hp that's what I'm wantin.I did learn my lesson with havin 6x16 sticks and havin a hole in the cooler boot and still hittin the dyno so there is a chance that I washed a cylinder
