dual piston brakes

Postby ahale2772 » Mon Nov 09, 2009 8:15 am

so this weekend I ripped apart my front end I need to do calipers u joints and wheel seals/axle seals, both of my front calipers are shot they barely move I expect the bores are rusty/ seals are gone because of the rust, I was wondering if anyone knew if a set of dual piston caliper will work I have a set from a bus sitting in my kitchen and they have all the same mounting dimentions but the spot for the brake line in is different it dosnet have the same banjo fitting, also I dont know if the master cylinder will be up to the task to feed 4 pistons in the front instead of 2, any input?

also what rear end/ brake set up uses a 13 inch drum with 2.5 inch wide pads? I have a rear end sitting around with new brakes and I am too lazy to pull off my rears on my truck to see if its all the same stuff will it work on my truck?

thanks in advance

13x2.5 may be a SRW Dana80. The DRW Dana80 that went into Rumblefish's truck had 13x3.5s.

If you're wondering how to tell if its an 80, look in my conversion thread and see how really tall, but narrow the diff cover is. But it does take a lot of rust to make the cast in "80" illegible
