Well so far this thread has 350 views, and its all their customer base, so I figure I am bothering them enough, as well as informing potential customers of possible problems with their product, and definate problems in their customer service.

I would have called the better buisness bureau. If in fact it was frigged up from the get go they should have replaced it of refunded it period. I would not be able to swallow that one.

The BBB is a voluntary organization that they have to volunteer(pay) to join. There is really nothing they can do. Even if they go through arbitration with the BBB, they really don't have to follow or agree with the BBB's decision.

I agree that they should have offered an exchange or refund. If I were selling these, and got a report of a bad one, I would want it back. I would want to check it against the blueprint and see if it were made correctly. I would want to know if it were a problem in the design, or if it were just not made to print.

When I first contacted them about the problem, I asked for an exchange. They wanted pictures, so I sent them the ones earlier in the post. They called me back and told me to grind it. I asked again for an exchange, they said if the fit bothers me to take a small hand grinder and grind it.

I had one in my 14mm/4mm combo pump. It seemed to be fine before it tore the ears off. I think that was from too small a test injector backing up the fuel in the pump which caused it to load up to much. Something just had to break. As far as clearence and such that wass all fine but it took a lot of set up to get everything within Bosch spec.

Was wondering about it. As I said the Bosch factory piece looks like its machined from a forging, and I couldn't tell about the Rockentech piece.

Well just got the bill on the machinework, $220. For Chamfering the ID of the roller ring, the OD of the governor housing(yup needed clearance there too.) and milling the "cross"(didn't want to weaken the camplate by taking anything off it).

I'll just take it as lesson learned, and spread the knowledge.

What other sources are there for VE custom parts?
