would a 60 mm compressor wheel be an upgrade on a 93?

yes it is an upgrade over stock i've run one for a couple years you will deffinently need a bigger turbo or twins using the 60mm upgrade if your looking for big HP, since i just woke up i'm not exactly sure what HP its good too but i belive it would get you into almost 400's with adequte fuelling mods 8)

If you are staying stock, or very close to stock, then you'd be okay with one. If you plan on bigger injectors, stay away from it, in my opinion. Most people who have spent the money on the 60mm comp wheel, have said they wish they would've saved for a better turbo.

The next turbo I'm getting will be a 60/68/14 S300. It is supposed t spool quick, and support more than enough horsepower for me. (I plan on being around 400rwhp.) My brother should be getting one for his new '97 soon, so I'll know more information then. :D

gotcha, the reason I asked was because I saw a chart that stated the stock sizes of turbos, and I thought it said 91.5+ had 60 mm compressors already.

Like peobryant said. if you are planning on keeping it mild, its a great upgrade, but if you are like many of us and dont know where to stop, save your money for a S300 variation. I have nothing but great things to say about my 62mm HTB2. I wouldnt pay what high tech asks for them though.

+1 on this

once the power bug gets you , you will be looking at the very least a hx40 or s300 .
there is no real sense in getting anything smaller , unless it's free , or the next thing to it .

unless you feel like a lot of playing and fiddling , then there are the HUGE vnt style turbos off of the new 6.7 cummins that can be had off of ebay for around 100.00 .
but expect to put a lot of time and effort into making it work reliably .
