are you saying that the guide pin wont come in and out unless the engine is running and the afc unit is all together? and it is normal for the guide pin to stay in its hole if the afc cap is off the fuel pin out and engine off? thankscougar wrote:Something doesn't sound right to me here. Doesn't fuel pressure push the guide in out? Then the fuel pin acts as a stop based on boost. Given that, then the limit of the AFC lever travel is then a combination of the guide pin and the fuel pin. And the AFC lever in turn sets the governor position, along with throttle position which actually then controls the amount of fuel delivered. At least that is how I understand the system to work.

I tried that and i tried a magnet but dident work, may i need to be a lil more ruff? do i push in on the head of the guid pin?, cause i think its already all the way in?DennyT wrote:The guide pin will get stuck at times. You have to get a small screwdriver, stick it down the bore and push the guide pin in manually. Youll be in bid'ness after that.
