The non coooled trucks are powered all the time for correct timing and the cooled trucks are activated by power. The non cooled trucks have a slow acting wax filled actuator and can not really be controled by adding or taking away power. ( its not an instant thing ) You also do not want to run the pump with the KSB advanced all the time. It increases case fuel pressure and will cause added wear and heat on the pump. Most guys that have a factory cooled truck just use the hot wired or switched ksb for quick racing or dyno runs.
