Non intercooled injectors What size should I make?

Postby jkidd » Wed Jul 21, 2010 12:29 pm

I am checking into getting nozzles made for the guys running 9mm tips. It seems that it does not make sense to pay a $200 core + $50-70 for a 9mm-7mm sleeve... + you have the wrong spray pattern when you are finished!!! Seems you could get more power for less than half the price after set-up/ installation/pop-testing, or even less if you do it yourself. I wanted to know if anyone would be interested in 4x.015, 4x.016 or if I would sell more 8x.010 or something. Stock non-ic is 4x.013. Target pricing would be $200-350 a set for flow matched nozzles

You can choose the 2 favorite sizes. Please vote 2x

Still pretty even... Remember this is for the 9mm injectors that come with 4 holes. It may be most cost effective to to the 4 hole, but if there is enough demand the 8 hole would probably offer better MPG.

Do a search around here before you go with the 8 hole injector, there have been several threads explaining why they don't work.

Really the size of the hole is less important than the flow. Some times injectors are not accurately labeled as the suggested hole size does not flow what it is supposed to. this would indicate an error in the production process. I will look into the 8 hole nozzle some more by searching

stock non-i/c injectors are 4x.012s. just FYI 8)

i think 4x.016s or 4x.018s would make good power even on a stock pump.

i dont have a NON-IC but i do have an opinion.... stock non-ic injectors make good power so i say, go big or go home on the aftermarket ones. thats where id guess the biggest market would be. you can always turn your pump down.

If I were gonna stick with a N/IC head I'd try a set of 20s

i am definatley interested in a set of 4x18s or possibly a set of 4x20s, what kind of price would there be for a set of nozzles with injector bodies due to the fact that mine are old and leaky

Looks like the 4 hole are winning. It will probably be 2 months before I can get these finished up.

hey-Hey!!!,
I'd actually like to try a set of 4x .010...but I am not sure it is worth the bill. For performance the 4x .014 looks like a sweet option. However, I am also pretty sure that the smaller ones will do a bit better on fuel economy and that would be far liklier to get my wallet open. Yeah...I am a bit on the fringe side, of a fringe group to begin with so I really don't expect much.
cheers,
Douglas

Figured I should update this thread. The 9mm nozzles have been difficult to produce. I do have 7 hole 155* nozzles and hope to have 155* 5 hole nozzles at a better price, but they are 7mm.

For those running intercooled 145* I have plenty of 5x.016 and 5x.018 in stock and can add lift. Should have more 5x.014, 5x.013 and 5x.012 in stock shortly.
