Sounds high. There's a site on the web that has the 15psi lp for under a hundred.

Try this link.

Yes the case one is now big money. As far as the under a hundred ones the psi is less then the 15 your after ( or so I have read ). Cummins has the real deal for around 185 bucks.

I have a Delphi piston pump on my 93, and it puts out right at 12psi after a new filter.

So, what pressure starts affecting the timing advance in the pump?
I was under the impression that you had to keep the lift pump pressure below 10 pounds.

Mine was only putting out about 12-13 after a mild starvation issue, it was 15 before that. I ran a draw straw and a 1/2" line to the LP and now it's 17-18 after the filter, and shoots to 20 once in a while. There's also a 10 micron filter in the suction side. This is with the stock fuel heater and unmolested small hole in the filter head. I'll get around to correcting that someday, you can't rush these things!

I was shocked at the difference the big suction line makes. 8)

Prices? My stock lift pump runs 5 PSI all day, but i haven't turned the fuel screw up yet. I'd like to be ready when i do.

Yes, I think it was $50 with a Buy It Now on ebay, $10 or so to ship. If I had it to do over, I'd skip the $40 Cummins line and just run a few barbed fittings and 3/8 or so line to the IP.

Mark- I dont think it'll affect the overall advance of the injector pump- the curve will be the same, just shifted to the right a little bit with the higher inlet pressure. I still have my stock LP, and a way to test case pressure. Guess when the weather cools a bit (below triple digits temps), I could do some swapping around and get back with y'all.

Low pressure (<4-5psi) can affect the longevity of the injector pump.

I'll have to look it up- Seems like HFP 702 or something like that. I'm pretty sure of the 702, not sure of the letters.
