Anyone interested in

Postby lectro_static » Fri Jan 21, 2011 3:42 pm

I have a spring shop across the parking lot from me and have been talking to them about making a spring for 2nd gen lift pumps that would lower the pressure to about 15psi. I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in doing that. The benefit of the 2nd gen is appx 25% more volume compared to the LPLP that most are using now.
The price will depend on how many they make so the more people we can get in on this the cheaper it will be.

Thoughts??

If there reasonable i would be interested in a dozen or so, you can get good used second gen pumps for nothing since everyone upgrades to electric on 2nd gens.

Just buy a high pressure pump from geno's and mix the parts together. That's what I did lol.

Lecto---One thing. My high pressure pump inlet is different than the low pressure pump. Youd need to find a fitting to adapt.

low pressure is on the left, high pressure is on the right.

Thats what i did... but it wont work if you dont have the LPLP also. If you have a 2nd gen pump and a custom spring, the factory fitting is too small for the lift pump.

Get off your high horse. I'm showing people what parts come with the lift pumps.

That would be easy because my 91 uses a hose barb fitting instead of the disconnect thingie my 92 has.

Hum, just a thought. Would there be any advantage to drilling up the smaller inlet in the interim? I have to replace my lift pump and can't hold off till later.
