Install issues with Raptor 150 fuel pump

Postby 93DodgeCummins » Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:25 pm

I started installing my raptor fuel pump and was installing my male fuel fitting that screws into the inlet side of the stock fuel filter on the intake manifold. I found out that my throttle and cruise control bracket on the engine is in the way. Can anyone help me?

Here is another picture with the fuel elbow snapped on. The throttle bracket is barely hanging on because it binds up with the new fuel fitting and elbow

I think most, if they go this far, remove the restrictions of the stock fuel filter and go remote mount.

well my plan was to stay with the stock filter for now.

hey! had the same problem. FLIP IT UPSIDE DOWN AND MOUNT FROM THE BOTTOM. its hard to snap in but it will work! be sure you turn your pressure all the way down before you turn it over or you will risk blowing the ip seals. happend to me. came preset at over 30psi. the lowest it goes is like 8psi so you can turn it all the way down, start it, then go up from there. flip that bracket and a few wire ties to keep my fuel line off my manual shut off cable is the only alterations i made. may have pics in my photobucket and if not i will snap a few in the morning for you.

you need a fuel pressure gauge to be safe.

I got it figured out. I set up a relay for the pump and flipped the cruise control cable upside down on the bracket. Pump sounds really healthy. I will make a video and post it when i get time

You definitely helped! I love the sound of my pump sounds really cool. Did u pull the motor and clean it up? It really makes me jealous to see how clean yours is.
