Itll help out, thats a lot of miles though....shaft play would be my main concern with it, followed by chipped blades, idk how much a rebuild kit is, but it may be worth it, others will know more

Mainly good for the exhaust housing.

The compressor is just a tad bigger and flows somewhere around 4-5lbs/min more than the H1C.

The thing I would be slightly concerned is shaft play and your auto. 12cm is going to be tight on the upper RPM range.

Update... Got hx35 housings through 1st stage of coating. Waiting on special clear with metalic in it. Will repost pics when they are finished. Wait untill you see what the valve cover-cover is gunna look like..

Okk diddnt want to start a new thread but has anyone ever done a h1c over hx35? I know it sounds useless but it would look cool. Anyone have opinions or experiance in this? Thanks. Please dont call me dumb lol.

won't work. effect is minimal at best. look for ht3b's or s400's. Used prices range in the 300-500 range with new being 650-750.

Yeah, it'll be pretty pointless. You do twins when you're running your current turbo off it's map due to it not getting enough air in its inlet. An HX has almost the same wheel inlet diameter as a H1C, so your system will still be pulling through the same hole.

If you think it looks cool, and are able to pull it off for relatively cheap, then go for it. Don't expect huge power gains, and expect some hate from people who don't get why you'd bother.

The idea of compound turbos is to ramp up the pressure on a low pressure high flow turbo. A small turbo fedding a slightly smaller one is moot. That is like taking a 1/2" water line and hoping to get more when you connect it to a 3/8" water line. What the true idea is taking a 3/4" line and knowing its too bigg for the fitting at the end and it needs slightly more pressure to make it right so you downsize it to 1/2".
