If they make it run too hot you'll finally have a reason for twins, not just a curiosity.

Ellis, I ran 7x10s with a HTT stage 4, which is about the same as your turbo, and the other mods in my sig. I tow a 35 ft fifth wheel that weighs 12600 lbs empty with no problem. I never saw egt's above 1100 but its been pretty much flat towing ie no mountain travels. My 7x10's were from New Era............Bill

Less than the BD 40 hp ( POD"S ) I was running. The 7x10's run alot cleaner, I think the difference in fuel pins, bully dog to an M3 also made a diff. - the M3 is must less agressive. Still I like the 7x10's a good towing setup very close to 5x12's and gave good responce and milage and they weren't hot. My normal cruising egt's were 500/600 degrees.............Bill

5 X .012 are damn hot for towing unless you have a real good turbo. BTDT. An aftermarket cam may help quite a bit, from what Alex has experienced lately.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

I thought of the same today and I've noticed tampa has one in his truck.

Here's the other thing with mine thou, I've never fooled with the fuel screw on mine either. Mostly because if I mashed on it hard with a load the needle on the pyro looked like it belonged on a pro-street cars speedometer. I've had my suspicions my stock injectors have been bad for awhile, under load and pushing it I can bust 1200 quick.

I did everything I could think of to get MORE air before I started to add fuel. Cam, ported head, turbo, 4 in exht, 3 piece exhaust, Cooler Tubz and upgraded intercooler. 47RH comes next along with some work on cooling system and maybe down the line twins ( have the S471 just waiting )). So my truck, like most of yours is a work in progress. My goal has been a powerful daily driver that can latch onto my 5th wheel and tour the U.S. and Canada with no problem. Its getting there slow but sure, its been alot of fun and I've learned alot on this site so I'll say thanks for all the info guys- hope I can help someone down the line..............Bill

I like the BOSCH 180's They provide plenty of power, but they won't get too awful hot with a modified injection pump.

I have tried these in a school bus too, loaded with kids on a very long hill climb and they perform wonderfully. They will show some smoke, but nothing like 370's or POD's

I have the part number if anyone is interested.
