Well....after 50miles of exhaust ran thru it,it looks like this

Image
I did alittle deferent on the down pipe and plus how the pipe ended up laying out,I used a stainless band and welded a bracket on the down pipe
Image

Plus there was this taking an extra clamp where the paper work had the hanger/clamp pulling double duty
Image

Caleb you were worried about your spare staying put, well after everything settled this is the clearance it has.
Image

Pretty easy deal, but you'll need to trim it up with a sawsall.
in the near future it'll all be welded off solid, after I get/find the pieces to cobble together duals 8)

Good deal. I'm going to use all band clamps from the get go. I've got 2 whole hangers on the exhaust now, so I'll have to address that with the 4" system.

My goal is to run duals. I wanted to run dual 5, but Diamond Eye has yet to make a "true 5".

Ellis, nice weld on that bracket. 8) I like to use a regular clamp on mine there. It's easier to remove and I can shift the pipe back and forth if needed as I change stuff.

PS, it looks like the next bolt up is loose. ;)

I didnt notice any seat of the pants dyno improvment by removing the muffler on my system...I put the ss muffler back on I prefer quiet.I sure wish I would have used those fancy band clamps,it was a bitch to get that test pipe back out of there to install the muffler...

nice install,it looks great!

If you use heat it helps expand the pipe back out to slide them out.

Ellis, did you cut where the instructions said to? I knew I had to cut but I cut the wrong pipe. Didnt look bad but I noticed it.

Speaking of the Diamond Eye stuff, I picked up a really rotted to hell 4X4 E/C recently with that exhaust on it.
Can I hack it and make it work on a STD cab 2WD?

I don't see why you couldn't,pipe might swing wide to clear a transfef case thats not there. Bend over the axle could be different I guess.

If you don't you'll break the flange at the turbo sooner or later. Seen it a few times.
Just a suggestion, and I know it's not really a nice option, but why not stop spending money on the truck and put up a garage? ;)

For a split second there I thought you might be intimating that I can actually afford to put up a garage, then I saw they you must mean David.
This realization was garnered from the word "TRUCK" in singular, not plural, being used.
Since I have at least 4 potential projects, I feel this actually exempts me from the description.

As such, I have no real reason to reply, other than feed you a ration of crap.
